A Tribute to My Bike

It is Friday - 4 pm.
I'm parking my bike ...

My bike is my faithful compagnion,
taking me to work from Monday to Friday.

I enjoy the rides each way,
being outside and having time of my own...
Just biking.

Now my bike is in the cellar -
The weekend is about to start.
I'm having a glass of cold milk with chocolate
- my Friday's treat.

... Weekend greetings,

Nina

  1. Hi Nina!
I like to bike, too. Don't have one right now, but would love to get one in a soft shell pink with big, fat tires.
    Which bike is yours?

    1. Hi Maureen,
My bike was down in our cellar, where I place it when I don't use it ... So it's not in the photos (I need to take a picture of it soon :-) A pink bike would be great, a bright & energetic colour!

    1. Thank you Sarah :)
I appreciate so much for being able to bike to work again ... the last 4 years I needed to drive with car due the longer distance.

    1. Thabk you Nancy Jean - I'm often drawn to the details, and thereby comes the perspectives, I guess, in orden to capture them :)

  4. I agree with Nancy Jean, I love the different perspectives of your photographs. I am jealous you get to ride your bike five days a week. :) It is not very bike friendly where I live, we drive a car where we need to go. Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you Michelle ... So far I'm able to bike 5 days a week - If we get loads of snow, I may need to leave the bike to the cellar - Let's see...

  5. :) I love biking! We had to get rid of our bikes when we moved a few months ago, but hopefully we'll be buying one soon!

  7. One of my favorite posts ever, Nina! The simple things that often go under appreciated - like bikes and glasses of milk. What a wonderful tribute. (And how fortunate you are, to be able to bike to work every day - that's fantasticl!)

    1. Thank you for your sweet note, Amanda! - Milk and chocolate goes back to my childhood - I'm still sharing this passion with my cousin (something that runs in our family :)
