Tonight at sunset walking on the snowy road,
my shoes crunching on the frozen gravel, first
my shoes crunching on the frozen gravel, first
through the woods, then out into the open fields
past a couple of trailers and some pickup trucks, I stop
and look at the sky. Suddenly: orange, red, pink, blue,
green, purple, yellow, gray, all at once and everywhere.
I pause in this moment at the beginning of my old age
and I say a prayer of gratitude for getting to this evening
a prayer for being here, today, now, alive
in this life, in this evening, under this sky.

ReplyDeleteThank you Barbara! I was lucky to be at the right place in the right time, to capture the beautiful scenere ... I have a Canon Ixus Point and Shoot, so I cannot really adjust any settings - but I lowered the camera to the level of the snow to get a perspective, focusing to the small leaves, and filling the rest of the "canvas" with the sunset.
DeleteThese are beautiful and amazing captures...love the pinks in the sky shots!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy - The colors of the sky reflecting on the snow was quite a view!

Tak Hans - denne post er den del af Winter Nurture Photography, så disse billeder er de sidste winterbilleder på bloggen - de er taget et par måneder siden. Der er stadig lidt sne hist og pist - is på søerne er ved at smelte, og foråret er på vej.
