My hidden macro garden

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.

Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.

The wind will blow their own freshness into you,

and the storms their energy,

while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

John Muir

  3. So true on climbing a mountain and the peace will flow into you. I only ever did that once, and it was a very easy climb, although the height did make me breathe a bit harder. It was a mountain in North Carolina where the movie The Last of the Mohicans was film, part of it anyway so it had an easy trail with some steps, but we went high. It was hot, and we were thrilled to find a water pool to cool off after we were fairly high up. Anyway, just the majesty of looking out from above over God's created Earth was so awesome and there was a peace. Great quote you share, and the pictures are wonderful. Love when the greens of the Earth begin taking on new hues of color. :)

  9. Your focus on the tiny brings a smile to my face. I just put the zoom back on my camera - I'm focusing on the large (moose have come through our yard the past 3 days)! PS There are many sources of plant-based recipes, Nina - I'm finding some good ones on Forks over Knives and on Pinterest.
