Hearty Hearts

It's been quite a while since the last time I crafted ... So as the inspiration to make these light paper heart garlands came over me, I didn't hesitate.

White hearts are light and airy, like snowflakes. They bring a wintery feeling to the livingroom - as we're waiting for the snow to fall, dreaming of a white Christmas.

I used paper from an older book, and some pearls I had at home - I'll post a more detailed DIY inspirational in the weekend.

"Hearty hearts" are swirling softly and creating shadow hearts on the window frames and walls... reminding that:

The greatest treasures are those invisible to the eye but found by the heart.

I hope you have a good week,

  10. Hi Nina! These little snowflakes are so airy and pretty! I bet they swirl in the breeze, or when the heat comes on. They almost glow in the sunlight. What a great idea to recycle old books? And you'll never know what kinds of words you'll get. That makes them so one-of-a-kind.

Thanks for sharing your new project!

  11. So pretty, Nina! I used to be extremely crafty, but don't find the time so much anymore. To sit down & create is always a pleasure. And handmade things are my favorite.
Speaking of which, I haven't even had the time to create blog posts lately.. so busy! Our twins turned 16 and got their drivers license this week.
We have dustings of snow here. Hoping your white Christmas is on it's way!!

  13. Beautiful! I also love your photo walk image from this week - how I'd love to go for a walk along there! My favourite photo walk is in one of the parks near where I live. It's a wonderful place - beautiful in every season.
