The Beauty of a Rose

 The appearance of things change
according to the emotions,
and thus
we see magic and beauty in them,
while the magic and beauty are really in ourselves.

The beauty of a rose never leaves it ...
it just changes and developes in away
- from rosebud to a blooming queen,
altering to a more sophisticated form of a rose,
where the colors get both pale and intensive when withering,
and where the fragility brings a new form for
sensitivity and tenderness.

I keep delighting over a bouquet of roses
for a long time -
These roses are about to wither,
the colors are getting more intense in the edges of the petals,
bringing about a greater contrast ...

It was June, and the world smelled of roses.
The sunshine was like powdered gold
over the grassy hillside.

  1. Beautiful! and I would LOVE to know how that "printable" link works. Can you advise me on that? I'd like to set up something similar on my blog.

    1. Hi Kerri,
I use Photobucket, it's easy and free. You sign in, and make an account, and you can start uploading images and make your own library / folders. You can choose also folders that are not open for others than to yourself - I have one for blog buttons for example.
I hope it works out (if not, just let me know and we can surely sort it out :)

  3. I love when roses start to die. I think they are still beautiful I can have them sitting in a vase forever.

    1. The cows are just lovely! The one to the right with the horns looks quite exotic to me - also the position & composition in the picture makes the cow even more glorious and eye-catching. Your blog is so inspiring with the two of you taking a picture of the same theme yet each from the viewpoint of your culture and your country!

    1. Thank you Debbie ... Yes there's sadness somehow in the process of withering - on the other hand it is a natural process ... Like aging. I find that the wrinkles at the faces of old people are beautiful, kind of marks of the life & tall the moments lived.
