Palm Sunday

This took place to fulfil what was spoken through the prophet:

‘Say to Daughter Zion,
“See, your king comes to you,
gentle and riding on a donkey,
and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”’

The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,

‘Hosanna to the Son of David!’
‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’
‘Hosanna in the highest heaven!’

Matthew 21:4-7

Hosanna by Paul Paloche

Christ, our all in all,
into your presence I come, Lord;
a few moments of quietness,
closeness
in a busy world
that demands my attention.
Breathe on me now,
that I might know your power
to see this day though

Blessings to your week,

  7. And all I can think about is where did all these people go when Jesus was persecuted?
May we always give glory to Him not only when the crowd is doing so, but even when they're going against it.

Thanks for sharing this. Have a peaceful Holy Week.

    1. Yes, It must have been incredible hard and a great loss - especially for Mary ... they didn't know at that time that He would rise from the death.
Wishing you a peaceful and joyful easter, Lux.
