But what happens when we live God’s way?
He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—
things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity.
We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart,
and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people.
We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life,
able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.

This passage in The Message reads beautiful. As I sat looking at it, this is what stood out to me ....
ReplyDelete"What happens when we live God's way?"
"We find ourselves....".
Grateful to be your neighbor this morning at Give Me Grace. Blessings, Nina!
I could use a little more of that "willingness to stick with things!" Great translation of that verse. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteInner strength is indeed a gift as are the ability to see what we've been given...:)JP

ReplyDeleteThinking of you, dear friend, and wishing you a lovely week! Hugs!
Gosh Nina, The Message is rocking this week. So many scriptures shared that have literally turned on the lights. Amen.
ReplyDeleteI've always lived God's way, but sometimes we get lost along the way down a not so bad road, but still it is heading in the wrong direction. U-Turn has been made, and heading back to living God's way because it is the best way and is full of so many more rewards than on the crooked path. Thanks for your lovely Scripture passage which is a great reminder. :)
ReplyDeleteme too, Amen! thank-you for the reminder and gorgeous photo.
