Woolen dreams

Textures Mixed by Kim Klassen & Coffee Creak by Nancy Clayes

Only a few rows and my woolen tube scarf is ready ... This knitwork has been lying in the bottom of my yarn basket since April, so I picked it up again this weekend.

Mornings are getting cold - a cotton scarf is not warm enough anymore. I look forward of wearing this tube scarf: The  deep blue yarn is a blend of wool and silk, and the light yarn is mohair... making the scarf both  soft and airy.

I knitted two of these as Christmas presents last winter, they're easy and rather fast to knit. Maybe an inspiration for you to a homemade present?

Water for tea is boiling, and my knitwork is waiting...

Until next time,

Nina

  12. Kaunista ja pehmeää! En muuten oikein osaa käyttää mohairia yksinään ja yhdistän sen usein jonkun muun langan kanssa.

  13. That is one of my favorite colors - it's beautiful! How lucky you are that you know how to knit. I tried to learn once and was very confused...lol.

  14. It looks so cozy, I love the color. I wish I knew how to knit or crochet, my step-daughter is really good at it and has made scarves, she is currently working on a blanket!

  20. I haven't knitted anything for years and, especially at this time of year, when I see balls of soft and cozy looking wool, I am tempted to start again but, as my husband points out, I already struggle to find the time for my photography as and paper crafting and jewelry making so, probably better not start another project. Still I can admire the lovely colour and wooly texture you have captured in this photo.
